Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help me since I am at my wits end.
Pretty recently, within the past month or so, my Twitch streams have been suffering greatly due to the bitrate suddenly dropping. I used to be able to stream considerably well with a bitrate of 6k Kbps. I've never had any issues with the settings in OBS and have always been able to stream with pretty high settings until recently.
It seems I am ONLY having issues with streaming of any kind, whether it be to Twitch, YouTube, or even screen sharing on Discord. No other devices in the home are facing issues. At first, I tried changing my ethernet cable to different ports on the modem to see if that would help the issues at all. It did not. Next, I changed my DNS server. So far, I've tried both Google's and Cloudflare's server and neither of them seemed to help the issue.
Then I tried changing the value of the Speed & Duplex for my ethernet. Changing it from Auto Negotiation to 2.5 Gbps (the highest it could go) that also didn't seem to help. I reverted back the setting to Auto Negotiation.
After trying everything I could think of I did a factory reset on my modem. That didn't help. Not having anything else I could think of I had my modem replaced and upgraded (it needed it anyway) and with my new modem and with an addition of a router the issue seems to be persistent. I am not sure what else I can do at this point. Sometimes the bitrate drops straight into the red as soon as I go live, other times it takes anywhere between 5 to 30 minutes to drop.
I should also preface I've tried manually changing my stream server, as per the r1ch TwitchTest, and that also had no results.
If anyone has any idea why this is suddenly becoming an issue for me, please let me know! I've added logs over the past few days while I tested out different settings.
