Question / Help OBS Suddenly Crashed!?!?

Hello,

I'm new to OBS. I've streamed a few videos on Facebook live. Last time I was streaming, the software crashed and live stream cut. I checked around the forums. I verified that my video drivers are updated. The only thing I can think of that was different from previous sessions is that there were about three sessions of Google Chrome browser open while I was running OBS. Could that be the reason for the crash?

I followed instruction for uploading the crash and log files. I hope someone can help me make sense of this so I can resolve this issue. Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, this crash is caused by the QSV encoder. Intel is looking into it, but there's nothing that can be done at the moment, other than updating all of your Intel drivers. Switch to another encoder, restart OBS, then try again.

Great, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I am not familiar with encoders. Do you know how I might switch to another encoder on my computer?

In OBS go to Settings -> Output, and there'll be an Encoder dropdown.
