OBS sucks

So I have used OBS at my church both on Windows and Mac and worked fine until recent as picture freezes on both software and it doesn’t seem the developers of OBS care to provide a fix for this problem so I have moved over to the steamlabs platform and have found much success. It’s more user friendly and I have not had any issues. At the church I attend we use the free version of streamlabs. post this only because I want to encourage people to leave OBS and maybe if enough people stop using OBS the developers will start taking issues like this more seriously.

With a detailed technical description of your problem like "sucks" and "freezes", I am surprised that one of the unpaid developers who work on OBS haven't immediately delivered a fix to you on a velvet pillow.

You might consider either
  • Roll back to an earlier version of OBS that DID work in your setup. You can find versions going back 10 years at https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/releases
  • Submit some details here, including a log file, and a full description of the problem - WHAT is freezing: the OBS UI? the stream? Is it a permanent lockup, or short freezes? Does it depend on scene, or sources in the scene?
