I’m trying to capture 50Hz content at 25fps with a ClonerAlliance Flint LXT. OBS isn’t dropping frames but I’m getting a stutter effect in the preview and output video. I am aware that 25fps doesn’t divide evenly into 60Hz so there will always be some stuttering but that’s not where the problem lies.
Upon opening OBS there is about a 50% chance that there will be stuttering which can be seen immediately in the preview window. This 50% chance is pretty consistent so I currently work around it by opening and closing OBS until I can no longer see the stutter.
I’ve tried this with different laptops and different sources but the problem is still the same. It seems like OBS is connecting to the capture card at 60Hz when it should be 50Hz. The output video is still 25fps but every couple of frames there’s a duplicate, which causes the stutter. When it’s working properly there is no duplicate and the video looks smooth.
