I know that this subject has come up many times before, but i think it still needs to be adressed.
I am running assetto corsa on a gaming pc using nvidia rtx 3070. My monitor supports 4k 3840/2160 @60hz.
With average to high ingame settings i get a smooth ride whith which i have no problem when recording with nvidia shadowplay.
I am using obs because i need to add two external cameras and also want to save multiple footage files. (source record plugin)
Unfortunately i get some serious stuttering and i have tried everything, lowering settings on ac, vsync on/off, full screen on/off, high/low priorities, preview off, running as admin etc. Nothing has worked for me. So i checked my graphics card resourses where i found something interesting:
When running the game CPU is at 10% and GPU total use is at 70-80% which splits to
3d use is at 70-80% Video encoding to 0%
When trying to record with OBS CPU climbs up to 20% but GPU total use drops to 50%
3d use is at 50% Video encoding to 50%
I am thinking on getting an avermedia 4k capture card to keep my graphics card gaming graphics focused.
