I first installed the studio on the 17th, it ran fine then and I left it running and simply let the pc go into hibernation. Started up my pc on the 18th the application ran fine as well. On the 19th I used it for a couple hours at like 2 am putting together my eventual stream scene. Then I had to logout for sleep and couldn't find a way to save it so I simply closed it to save on power consumption while I slept.
Now it is mid-day on the 19th and after starting back up my pc, every single time I try starting up the OBS Studio program nothing at all happens as far as I can see. No processes are running in background, no OBS Studio in front of me.
I searched the forums and found someone who said to another user it might be that something went wrong and that I should run %appdata% and then rename obs-studio to obs-studio-old to see if it fixed the problem. I did that, ran OBS Studio again, same result with no visible signs of OBS, only now %appdata% showed both an obs-studio and an obs-studio-old. So it is not being caused by a corrupted scene.
What changed from between yesterday to today that makes it suddenly not run? And more importantly how do I fix this?
I would attach a log but I checked and both obs-studio and obs-studio-old logs have 0 bytes in them. It's like the OBS Studio has enough time to start up a log but doesn't have enough time to actually put anything into it before it crashes.
