I recently purchased my Elgato, and have been pretty pleased so far. I wanted to record 1080p60 seamlessly, without using a massive amount of CPU power, and it's worked out. The problem arrises when I want to record my PS4. I'm not big into streaming, not yet, at least, and so all I need to do is record. I fire up MLB The Show, hop on to road to the show, and go. Everything is fine for about the first 15 minutes. So what's my problem? After that time OBS's preview on my second monitor started to stutter. Not a lot, but enough to make me uneasy, so I cancel the recording, and go check it out in the output, and sure enough, there's the stutter.
I looked at the guide posted here about the stutter fixes and such, and I don't have a custom resolution set. 1080p60 FPS is set in the device settings given by Elgato. I don't know what the problem could be. Thank you very much!
(Also, no log file, cause it's not log file-able, I don't think)
