Question / Help obs studio window capture is capturing weird stuff (not the game)

OBS studio was working fine for me for a while now. until last night. I stream on a laptop (because that is all i have) and use window capture to capture all of my game play (league, hearthstone, battlerite, overwatch, deadcells). Yesterday, when i was trying to stream. my hearthstone capture wasnt working so i decided to create an new one to try and fix it. now the captures show a screenshot of what is on my display (sometimes my chrome browser, other times my battle.net games window). this happens for all of my captures except for 3 games. 1. league of legends which works fine (for some reason) 2. overwatch which doesnt display anything (blackscreen) and 3.deadcells (which reads the window as ([deadcells.exe] : null)

I have the exact same issue ever since Windows updated to the Creators Fall Update.
Game Capture and Desktop Capture work perfectly fine, but whenever I try to use Window capture, it basically just shows a still picture.

It's a big problem for me, because I run two instances of OBS, one recording and one streaming. I have to do that in order to record at a higher quality and without any overlays.

If anyone has a clue on how to fix this issue. I'd really appreciate it.
