Installed OBS under sudo via apt. Specified use of virtual camera.
Created Scene: VirtualCamera
Added Source: video capture: V4L2 over hardware webcam
Resized a bit.
Start virtual camera. Test in Zoom. Yay.
Now I want to zoom in on me
Stop Virtual Camera
OBS Controls: Settings→Video
Changing base resolution from 1980*1080 to 1280*720
Start virtual camera
stop virtual camera
File → Exit
Try to restart: get popup: Unsafe Shutdown; Run Normally; ==>> core dump.
