Hi there,

I have a problem with OBS Studio. When I try to record games I got an error after about 1min of recording.
I'm playing in 4k and the video should be scaled down to 1440p.
CPU is at 35% and RAM 25%

This is my log:

Sadly I can't reconstruct this issue because sometimes it workes fine for me :/
It's totally random.

Maybe someone has an idea and could help me :)

From your log:
23:24:48.577: receive_video: Error encoding video: Cannot allocate memory
I would guess that your system's memory (or OBS Studio's available allocation) is full due to gaming and encoding at 1440p@60f. Run less stuff while gaming and streaming/recording, or try the 64-bit version of OBS Studio, or both.

My memory runs at 25% (of 16GB) while recording :/
I've checked this already. Could it be possible that OBS Studio does not use the available RAM?

I'll try it with the 64bit version.

You were running OBS Studio 32-bit. OBS Studio 32-bit cannot access more than 4GB of RAM in any case due to PC architecture design. In your case, it seems that it cannot access more than 2GB of RAM. Your log points this out:
23:10:21.642: Physical Memory: 2047MB Total, 2047MB Free (NOTE: 2 or 4 gigs max is normal for 32bit programs)

That's why I recommended that you try the 64-bit OBS Studio.

The 64bit version works fine most of time. Thank you :) :)
But I have one big problem: when I try to record the game "Tales of Zestiria" the memory runs with 24% when I start recording but OBS Studio don't stop needing more and more and more till it crashes with 99% usage of memory.

What could be the problem with that? OBS Studio needs about 12,1GB memory while recording this game and I don't know how much memory it would use if I had more than 16GB O.o
