Question / Help OBS Studio Recording Information

I've just learned about OBS and OBS Studio. I've looked at several Tutorials so far but most of them seem to focusing on streaming. Are there any tutorials or guides for those of us who are NOT interested in streaming but who just want to use the software to record text, pictures, or video from our monitor screens?

Momentum, thanks very much for directing me to the subforum. I still have a lot to learn about OBS Studio but the information there will definitely be helpful.
