Bug Report OBS studio program freezing whole computer after a few miniutes of streaming.

I've never really had an issue with OBS or OBS studio before in the past since I've started using this a year ago but for some reason after coming back to try and stream for a little bit for fun I can no longer stream with OBS due to my whole program freezing up leading my whole computer to freeze up.

I really don't know what might be causing this problem other then perhaps it's because I cannot pick my video adapter in the settings and it is causing my whole system to over work. I don't remember me not being able to not able to pick my graphics card in the video adapter section in the settings and after trying different things online I cannot get this to work. I really hope someone can help me because I just need a little help in figuring this out.

I have windows 8 and like I said I've never had a problem before. I haven't streamed i months now.

If I have done something wrong or you need more information please let me know I will try my best to give you what you need to be able to assist me in running through trouble shooting on your program.

Like I said before I've never had an issue for now for some reason OBS studio freezes up my whole computer after trying to stream, ranging from 30 seconds to two minutes sometimes. I tried streaming and then copying the log before my computer would freeze up.

You've got a weak setup in the first place. A8 APU with a GT 630 isn't going to cut it very well.

While I noticed the GPU is overloaded hence the sudden spike on the frametime here, the log doesn't show a streaming attempt.

Code:
13:35:10.057: ┃ ┣download_frame: min=0 ms, median=0.004 ms, max=57.477 ms, 99th percentile=0.121 ms

I am very sorry in a late response and I thank you for taking the time to help me try and figure this out. Like I said before I have used OBS studio for months with the same setup and it worked pretty good aside from my own internet connection bringing me down sometimes. FPS wise I was always fine and the system ran good but like I said for some reason it now doesn't let me stream and it just freezes up.

Might I also add that on the bottom right where it shows the bitrate it is either 0 or it jumps to some random high number like 6000. I remember this always showing my current m/s but now it is zero, perhaps this is a part of the problem? I cannot connect to something?

EDIT -Like I said before it freezes up my whole computer after some time and I have to restart so I can't really hit the stop stream button once it freezes up and upload the log file because my computer freezes up. If you need it then I will try everything I can to get to that part then I guess.

You have connection issue. Also, try to change Ethernet adapter you are using (replace or install new one).

If your entire PC is freezing then you have a PC issue. Worry about that before troubleshooting OBS.

Okay well once again I'm slightly confused because I've used OBS for months, last December-ish or October, and it never gave me an issue and after using a few other streaming services, right now, I have had no problem being able to stream; even if lower quality.

Once again I am pointing out that in OBS studio on the bottom right I am sending out no information through OBS to be streamed and I have no idea why my computer isn't allowing OBS to stream. Once again I have no problems using other streaming software and my computer doesn't give me any issues.

If you need any more information from me please demand it and I will get it for you. If you want to run me by deleting all of the OBS files on my computer and re downloading then gladly run me through the steps to completely remove all the files. Up to anyone who wants to help me I have no idea whats wrong and I rather use OBS.

I have the same problem and no it is not the computer. If it was the computer then it would freeze up on more taxing programs. I have used OBS and Streamlabs OBS before and never had issue but now that I'm getting back into streaming it freezes the whole computer. I have quality specs and an amazing graphics card but still freezing. It must be a setting issue somewhere in the program that is interfearing with the software. One forum said it was the webcam drivers but after reinstalling and even swapping out for older webcams the program is still freezing. I noticed I can restart the program sometimes and get it working adfter 3 or 4 tries, but still not a viable option. To me this program isn't worth the free price tag and I am currently looking for a different free streaming software. Any advice?
