Hey everyone...

I have a weird problem that suddenly started happening for no apparent reason.

I stream from 1 pc to a laptop then out to twitch and it all works perfectly and always has then one day for no reason the preview window on the laptop started being very choppy and laggy. To the point that I can not move sources around easily as they move a few seconds after i actually move them.

The output to twitch is 100% normal so im unsure why this is happening but its very annoying.

Any help would be much appreciated...

Just to add to this.

The laptop is an alienware 15 with a i7 6820HK and an AMD R9 M390X.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled OBS and cleared any traces of it through regedit, i have allowed it through AV, run OBS as admin, EVERYTHING lol...

Why is this happening ?

Well I finally figured it out...

I stream from OBS on my gaming PC via NDI to my Alienware laptop and then out to twitch and on the laptop OBS was set in the switchable graphics at high performance which for some reason made the preview look like it was in 1 fps, choppy and stuttering...

Maybe this will help someone else...

hey bud. i dont know if you still need help, but try going into task manager and say you are streaming overwatch, right click overwatch then go to details then right click overwatch in the details page then go to set affinity. now i dont know how many cores will show up for you but try reducing the amount of cores the game is using so it reserves some for the obs, because if obs preview is showing frame drops then you are overloading somewhere. start from the highest number then go lower. play with it to see what results fit you. bare in mind tho the more cores you take from the game you will see massive fps drops so try not to take too many. you will have to do this with every game that wants to hog all your cpu cores. let me know how that goes.
