Question / Help Obs Studio no stream to facebook live

Hi
I very like Linux and OBS studio and I very happy use together, but I have this issue in various Linux distribution. I cannot stream to facebook live on my project page. But when I boot Windows there is not problem with it. Other stream service as Youtube etc. works fine. Do you have somebody same experience? My setup is right and when I start send stream and click to preview on Facebook, he ge show me if my stream is offline. Do you have somebody what can be cause of this problem?

You will need to post a log from a session where you have the issue. Your description isn't very specific on the issue you're having.

Thanks for reply.

I get link to OBS session log on bottom. What I did step by step:
I go to FB page where I am admin: https://www.facebook.com/KurzyZive/?fref=ts On this page I Click
to publising tool ->video -> Live Copy stream key.
Setup OBS stream (as source I set image with text.) and setup key from Facebook.
Afrter it I start sending stream.
Go back to Facebook and click to preview. But on preview I do not see my stream And Facebook show me message "your stream offline." I wait for 5 min, but nothing change and I can not public stream.

There is not error message in GUI or or on log and any drope frame etc.

According to that log, you connected successfully. You'll need to reach out to Facebook support as the issue might be on their side.

This happened to me on Wednesday as well. It turned out to be a Facebook issue (confirmed here), and it has been fixed:

Hi everyone. For all of you who have encountered the bug where you couldn’t broadcast your video to your profile. The error message was “Something went wrong and you’re not able to go live at this time”. I submitted a bug report, and thankfully, Facebook was able to reproduce the error. They’ve just updated the bug report to say they’ve fixed the issue. I can confirm that it’s working for me which is great news! Hurrah!

on my log I can see:

But always "OFFLINE" on FaceBook

I have try lot of configurations with stable and unstable version under Ubuntu 16.04 and I have even upgrade to 16.10 but nothing to do...

I think it's a FaceBook problem but I try with my friend computer on Mac, everything work great... :-/

Can somebody help me? Or give me a link to contact the good FaceBook service???

You should have created a new thread for that.

Did you actually click on "Go Live" in the preview window in Facebook?

sorry for delay. Unfortunately it is not same problem how Nyarlathotep write in 9 october post and streaming on FB still not works. And I think, Sylvian writed in right thread, because problem can by same as mine.
I want ask Nyarlathotep if you are able stream to Facebook? And which encoder you use for it? It posible write your setup? Or do you somebody idea where is issue? Maybe Facebook have some problem with stream format? Because on Windows and OS X is not these problem.

Yes, I can easily stream to Facebook, with multiple computers at different locations. I streamed a live concert a few days ago for work. Here are the hardware and software I used for that:

Computer: HP Zbook 15
OS: Peppermint 7
OBS Version: 0.16.2 (there is now 0.16.2.1)
Cameras 1 and 2: Panasonic HD camcorders (not sure of the models) with SDI outputs
Camera 3: Logitech C930e webcam
Mixing Console/Audio Interface: Behringer X AIR X18
Magewell XI100DUSB SDI to USB 3.0 converters (2)
Plugable 10-port USB 3.0 hub

I use the button near the middle of this page to stream.

There is obviously something very wrong here. I have tried setup Facebook Live stream on 3 computers. On one I managed to get it working in Chrome to get the preview to show up, but when I restarted computer that didn't work anymore. I haven't changed any settings in OBS Studio (saved them) so there must be something wrong with the software. I tried on windows 7, 8 and 10, software and hardware encoding, FF; Chrome and IE browsers and it's the same issue. If you are very lucky stream shows up, but 99% of the time you get OFFLINE status.

I have the same issue. I will add the following to the discussion. I am admin on many different Pages on facebook, and I'm able to stream without any problems on certain pages, but have a persistent Offline message on other pages. This seems to suggest that the OBS configuration is not at fault.

I have the same problem on a fresh unity install. It is the Flash plugin missbehaving... My workaround was to use reastream and setup the session on a Windows 10 system where the Flash plugin worked. So, most likely Obs is not the culprit!
