OBS Studio Monitoring Sound

Hello forum, I have a question. I use OBS Studio (with Linux). When I play videos and at the same time set the sound to “monitoring and output on”, I get a strange sound in the recording. The sound is practically output twice. If I set “Monitoring off”, I only get the sound of the video in the recording, but cannot hear the video during the recording. However, I would like to listen to the sound of the video at the same time, for the purpose of commenting etc. How can I avoid this so that the sound of the video is only heard once and I can also listen to the video during the recording?

@h2b2: I would check the Settings/Audio/Global Audio Devices: Is there any "Desktop Audio" defined that could double the audio source for the video playing ...?
I have also some difficulties understanding the audio path in OBS + the addition of the Windows layer in audio routing + monitoring + ducking...). This is almost a nightmare to me. (But I love OBS - thanks to the developpers !)

Hey guys, I fixed the problem by muting the desktop audio. Now it works.

Thanks a lot! :-)))
