Question / Help OBS Studio Microphone too low

Hello everyone!

I've had people in my stream tell me my voice is too low but they could hear everybody else who speaks such as party chat or in-game chat voice loud and clear. I thought they were trolling until I watched my past broadcast and my voice was extremely low.

I went to the cog button, selected filters and gain. Boosted it to 10db not only did my voice get louder but my game volume went extremly loud as well to the point you could hear humming/distortion with high explosions. Is there a proper way to just only turn up my microphone volume?

My current setup is

Playstation 4, Astro TR40 w/ Mixamp the stream port is connected to my Avermedia LGX Aux port and my LGX is connected to my computer.

I don't know what a ''cog'' button is but if you set the filter on all of your audio that could be what the problem is. If you go through the gear button on just the mic/aux bar on the bottom middle and do it there it should just adjust the volume of your mic.

"Cog" is another word for "gear".

Please see this guide for configuring your microphone. Adding a gain filter to your mic by itself should not affect your desktop audio.
