Question / Help OBS Studio Incompatibility (One Moment Please...)

I am unable to stream with the Elgato Game Capture HD via OBS & OBS Studio. The drivers and software are both updated to the latest version, and the Elgato Game Capture HD software shows the game on screen. However, in OBS Studio I get the dreaded "One Moment Please" message. I've checked the settings and nothing has helped. I've uninstalled the software and drivers and re-installed accordingly. I've opened up task manager and have cleared both programs and opened each individually since the feed can only show on one. I've recorded a video to better describe what I'm experiencing and you can view it at the link below.

are you sure its not because the elgato only supports 1080p and you have your base resolution set to 4k

No, this problem has been happening well before I bought a 4k monitor. It works just fine in the Elgato capture program, but does not work with OBS Studio. So the internal resolution is not the problem.
