Question / Help OBS studio Hotkey problem

is there a way to get the hot keys to work outside of the program, I have to physically click the program then hotkey, Which sucks mid game

Run OBS in administration mode, then click somewhere outside of obs (typically the window you want to broadcast) then use your hotkeys.
