Why do I get an older version of OBS Studio if I download it from Microsoft Store instead of from the website? If I do winget show XPFFH613W8V6LV it says version 27.2.4.

I am NOT from the development team, I am NOT providing an official response....
I wasn't aware of OBS Studio being made available by OBS Studio team on Microsoft store...
so you installed may be either a malware version, or someone went to the effort on their own to post an old version...
someone else will have to comment on the version in MS store... I wasn't aware of it.. maybe do a search (in this forum or elsewhere) and see for yourself if any checked the Store version vs official source (this site) ... hopefully the Store version is the same... but I don't know that.

If you click the Microsoft installer in https://obsproject.com/download , it redirects you to it.

If your OS don't support newer versions of OBS it will only show that version. Are you on win7 or 8? Or an outdated win10?
The version I see on the store, or at least the changes log says, is 30.2.2, a little outdated.

Interesting... Not on my Win10/Edge machine it doesn't... I get an EXE download from obsproject.com
Ah, I was going off front (home) page link... I see MS Store link in /download...
