Question / Help OBS Studio dropping fps in games harder than Classic

Hello my friends. I've been streaming for few months but recently I've upgraded my OBS from Classic to Studio but i suffered a big fps drop in games. For example: In league of legends i feel fps drop every few seconds from like 90 to 60 etc, where on Classic version I've had around 150fps and it was stable (720p60fps). On Studio I can't even stream CSGO because i have 15fps and again, on Classic I've got around 120fps stable with 60fps stream. I guess I may have some problems with my options in OBS Studio so I am asking you for help. If you know what's wrong or you suffered the same problem as I do, just comment down below. Thanks guys, god bless.

i to have noticed a massive performance drop while using OBS studio over classic i dont know if any thing can be done about it but i have noticed it still loads sources even if there set to not be visible while i dont know if the classic did this it makes me believe that it could potentially impact performance in the long run but i dont think its the cause. i wonder if the the preview is hardware accelerated and if that could be the issue?
ive also had nothing but audio problems with the new OBS. i have tried to switch back to classic but it has stopped working since i installed studio. but i digress from looking around you are not the only one with this problem.

@KittyBiceps your log shows minor problems.
You can reduce to 50 FPS and your game will be more fluid because with 60 FPS your CPU is jsut in the limit (encoding lag) so your GPU ( rendering lag)
About network, you can reduce a little your bitrate or trying a different Twitch server

@AntiSanity make sure your sources are configured to unload when not visible (checking Unload image when not showing for Image sources and so on)
About audio problems, check if both Windows and OBS have the same 44.1 KHz or 48Khz.

But everything is set the same as in OBS Classic where i had around 100fps more and everything were working smoothly. Now I can't really stream because of Studio and i am wondering why it is happening

Maybe the new LOL client needs more CPU / GPU and that´s why your FPS drops
(Just guessing)

The problem isn't only with league of legends, but also with CS (i can't stream on Studio, but i've done it on 720p60fps with around 150fps on classic). Same goes with H1Z1, Overwatch and other games. It slows my PC to death

H1Z1 and Overwatch general advice is reducing ingame graphics and / capping FPS to leave room for OBS.
Maybe you are also maxing CSGO graphics, so you don´t leave room for OBS.

@EBrito - Im playing on low everywhere. You just dont want to listen to me. I have a problem with OBS Studio, not games. I can stream without any problem with Classic but im trying to figure out how is that possible that updated one is worse than old one.

OBS Studio uses GPU to render frames. If your game is using all your GPU power there is no room for OBS Studio to work. This is what produces FPS drops.

There is my recording log if it helps. Maybe there are some problems in options? :/

That log contains a streaming session
1280x720x60FPS
12:55:11.368: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 28 (0.0%)
12:55:11.368: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 117 (0.1%)

Better 30 FPS to avoid these minor problems.
You can also try 50 FPS. (Seen on Spanish ESL Twitter channel)

TBH, I did also notice the performance drop when streaming with Studio when compared with Classic, but I just got used to it. (And before asking any logs, I did exactly same sources and same setup in both Studio and Classic, and game settings were the same (like CSGO for example), and Studio pretty much makes me turn down game settings a lot more than Classic does.)
EDIT: Oh and also I'm streaming 30fps on my laptop monitor (1366x768).

@mantazzo I was streaming games like H1Z1, Overwatch, League of Legends, CSGO on 720p60fps, now I can only stream LoL, because all of the other games are lagging AF. Its so stupid because I had no problem on Classic. Im still trying to find the problem. Using the same options as in Classic, different ones... Everything seems to not work. Today I thought to myself: Lets check Recording! TBH it is working better than the old one. Im thinking about using Studio to record and Classic to stream. That's probably the best way for me.
