I've looked on forums and youtube videos for 2 days straight to find a solution for my problem but nothing works.
OBS doesn't recognize my desktop audio at all. It catches my mic but not the sound. I've put the desktop audio device on default and on the specific output, the realtek speakers (headphones). Like I said, i've tried everything and i really want to get this working as soon as possible. I'd really appreciate your help with this. Thanks!

Sometimes when i reboot my computer and turns OBS on it might find the audio source, but if i then restart OBS it wont find it anymore ... dont get it !

I apologize if bumping is rude, but this is very similar to a problem I'm having. Desktop and game audio seems like it isn't captured.

I am new here so I will just preface this with that. I have two audio sources, one is "Audio Input Capture" and that I set to my Mic. The other is the "Audio Output Capture" and that I set as default. The "Audio Output Device" captures my game and any other sounds my computer is making.
One piece of advice I might give is that if you are in Studio Mode you won't see the levels move until you transition. Test in non studio mode.
Sincerely hope this helps the both of you.

Unfortunately it doesn't do it for me. If a start obs right after a re-boot the programs detects my video output and captures it. But if my pc has been on for a while, it doesn't detect it. It's so wierd
