Question / Help OBS Studio does not record GRID Autosport main window

On a three Monitor setting under W10, I have set up OBS Studio to record the center monitor. This works correctly with other games eg rFactor 2, but does not work on Grid Autosport. The recording shows patterns as if it only would record some kind of game background.

Log: https://gist.github.com/579b91723c3a6479edef46b263bdc612
No overlays active, antivirus is Avira

I hope I gave all information needed. If not, please let me know.

Thank you

Unfortunately, this is also a problem with GRID 2. I have noticed that the game logo shown at the beginning seems to have a masking issue where it doesn't show anything that's being rendered, only the mask. When playing the game, the translucent displays for the coursemap, the speedometer, and the pause menu will render correctly.

I have no idea how to resolve this, but this is what I'm seeing.

I'm running on a Razer Blade Stealth with a Razer Core containing a GTX 1070. The 1070 runs two displays, and the intel graphics runs the laptop's display.

Update: Figured it out. In OBS, for your sources, open Game Capture. Change the mode to "Capture foreground window with hotkey", Then go to Settings -> Hotkeys, and under "Game Capture" set hotkeys for "Capture foreground window *" and "Deactivate Capture *". Personally, I go with Ctrl+Alt+Shift+PgUp and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+PgDn, respectively.

That's it. Load up GRID $version and hit your hotkey.

Edit: WRONG!

Turn on V-Sync.

Edit: Well, it was working. I give up. There aren't enough options to change.

OK, got it working, tested with a stream of three races on twitch.

The game needs to be running in Windowed mode, you can maximize the window and auto-hide the taskbar to reclaim some of the space, but unfortunately, the titlebar will still take some of that space. If you have a 16:10 screen this is a non-issue if you're going for a 16:9 stream. I'm running 21:9 though, so..

That should work.
