Question / Help OBS Studio Custom ffmpeg streaming udp with quicksync encoder

Hello Togehther,

I have a two PC Setup . I have set it up according this thread https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-studio-send-an-udp-stream-to-a-second-pc-using-obs.455/ . It works perfect while using x264. But I want to use the quicksync Decoder. But I do not find Settings for..... I tried it on an other PC with a Nvidia Card, there I can use the NVENC_H264 Encoder and it works.
Is there a way to use the quicksynk Encoder in the recording tab // custom Output (ffmpeg)?

Hello H4ndy,

thanks for the fast answer.
I have installed the actual ffmpeg on my Windows 10 PC, Is there a way to this? I am a noob in this, perhaps renaming an Coping in the obs Folder?

It would be great to have the QSV Support in the ffmpeg delieverd wit OBS?

regards

Adding QSV to ffmpeg makes it non-free due to the license of the required Intel SDK which makes it not possible to distribute directly with OBS. Adding it yourself to OBS requires compiling the whole application since ffmpeg is embedded.

Build instructions for all supported platforms can be found here: https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio/wiki/install-instructions (see "build from source").
