Question / Help OBS Studio Crashing/Freezing

Hello,

I've looked around and cannot seem to find a fix myself and was wondering if somebody could help me. My OBS Studio likes to crash/freeze randomly when streaming. I've tried lower settings in both the program and on my computer but nothing seems to fix it. The crashes are random and are not instant, sometimes it's 15 minutes in, other times it's hours in. Below are 2 logs on 2 separate days of when the program crashed. The first log was on 1920x1080, 30FPS, 3000bitrate and the second log was ran on 1280x720 (downscale), on 60 FPS, 3500bitrate. I should also note that the program does not shut itself down. The only way to close it is through "end task" in task manager.

I've got the same problem. Since the windows 10 update a few weeks ago... OBS Studio 0.16.2 locks up hard after 3-5 min of streaming. have to end it with task manager. It also creates a horrible stream now... lag, low frame rate, over compressed... blah!

I'm playing MechWarrior Online, 1080p streaming at 720p 30fps @ 2100kbits/sec, I have 12Mbits/sec upload speed so that's never been a problem. GTX650 Graphics card. Windows 10, i7 7440 3.5GH, 16GB RAM.

OBS Studio has worked flawlessly for over a year, until just recently.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello a friend had the same problem maybe the fix i gave her will work as well when you try it.

Open your Task manager go to Details search for the obs(64 or 32).exe.
Than right click it set Priority to high.

that worked by my friend.

I've been trying this for a while and can say this has seemed to fix it for whatever reason.

The first log file doesn't show a streaming attempt. The second log file shows this:

19:35:36.305: device_texture_create (D3D11): Failed to create 2D texture (887A0005)

Pretty sure this is related to the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
