Hi All,

Problem:

Ive been using OBS Classic for a long time now, without problems. Since a week i am trying to OBS Studio also, but i have problems with it running BF4. When use the old OBS (64bit) with BF4 i have no problems. When i run BF4 and play the game for a while, and i want to alt-tab for something, in most cases, i get below stated DX Error. When i am using OBS Studio 32bit, i can play for like 15/30min or longer, until i alt-tab the game. With the 64-bit version today it crashed within a few minutes without alt-tabbing.

Tried manny things this week to resolve the problem, but no luck.

Hardware:
Intel I7 970 (Hexacore)
Asus Rampage III Extreme Mainboard (ROG)
16GB Corsair Dominator GT Memory
Asus ROG Strix GTX 1060 OC @ 2125mhz
OCZ Revodrive 3 X2 240GB PCI-E SSD (OS)

Windows 7 64bit Enterprise

Things i tried are

- Reinstall nvidia drivers. Using Latest Nvidia drivers 368.81.
- Multi Adapter Compatibility is off in OBS Studio
- Reinstalled OBS Studio.
- Tried 32bits version and 64bits. 32bit version works longer till it crash. 64bit almost within few minutes.
- Aero Off or On

In my case got it solved, i was running 1080p stream in the background and with my 1060 OC overclocked over 100mhz above the normal OC mode settings. For only playing BF4, this was enough. But when it needed to stream also an 1080p or 720p with high bitrate in the background, it was to much for the GPU. So when it hitted something heavy, it would crash or when you alt-tab to desktop, the gpu clock would lower itself because of going into windows desktop. Then suddenly again ingame by alt-tabbing and with same stream in the background this made the GPU also crashing.

When i putted my Rog Strix 1060 OC in OC mode (factory oc'ed mode; not my own OCed clocks), it didnt crash anymore after playing like 3 hours.
So streaming 1080p/720p + BF4 + GPU OCed doesnt mix well with eachother.

@R1CH: Thanks for your answer :) I like OBS studio alot. Missing a few features, but i guess they come soon in it :)
