Question / Help OBS Studio Crash on Startup

Hi, I get the following error each time I try to start OBS Studio

As a test can you go do the following:
Right click Start and select Run, type %appdata% and press return. A list of folders will be shown, scroll down to the folder called obs-studio and right click, rename and call it obs-studio-old.

Try starting OBS again and let us know what happens.

Update audio drivers, or system itself.

audio drivers are updated and as far as I can, the system is as well. Still no joy

Did you upgrade (over windows 8.1) or fresh install windows 10?

It was an upgrade from windows 8 to windows 10

If everything else fails, try a fresh install. I heard reports from people with issues with windows 10 after upgrading instead of fresh installing.

I'm running Windows 7 and OBS Studio crashes after I shutdown my computer. I receive the error listed below. I tried %appdata% obs-studio-old and no change occurred. IF I run the OBSstudio installer again, it will launch with no problems. I don't have any problems during streaming. Problems start only after a restart of my PC or after I receive the first crash. Once I receive an APPCRASH, it's over until I re-install.
