Question / Help OBS Studio centering problems.

Hello, so I added CLR Browser plugin in OBS Studio. After that I added follower alert but I can't figure out how do I center that alert? In OBS Classic it was super easy, you either press CTRL+ALT+C or you Right click on scene -> Position/Size -> Center Horizontally.
So how do I do it in OBS Studio? CTRL+ALT+C does nothing, Right click -> Transform -> Edit transform -> Positional Alignment -> Top Center doesn't do the job either.

I think the exact function you are looking for has not been added to OBS-Studio yet.
But you can still easily center a source if you want to:
  • Go into the general settings of OBS-Studio.
  • See Source Alignment Snapping (should be active by default).
  • Activate the check-box "Snap sources to horizontal and vertical center".
Now if you move the source around in the OBS-Studio preview it will snap to the horizontal and vertical center and you should be able to place it very easily.

Just a little side note, you posted in the OBS-Classic section (I moved the post to the OBS-Studio section) and in OBS-Studio its just the Browser Source. CLR stands for common language runtime which was used in OBS-Classic to add the Browser Source but is not used anymore. Don't worry, most people still call it CLR Browser, but we try to get rid of the CLR part.

I don't see "Source Alignment Snapping", could you tell me how to enable it?
Yeah, moving it manually would be not so bad as well but whenever I move my follower alert while trying to get it top-centered, the red box/margins which represent the alert box, just moves by a little bit out of the preview margins if that makes sense. Like out of the black screen into that grey area and after that I can't get it back perfectly aligned with preview borders and follower alert borders. Sorry if this sounds like non sense, my english using skills are not the best.
So that what CLR stands for, when I added browser plugin I got confused a little bit why it had no CLR there so I just wrote it like that here to be less misunderstood. :D

Mhm, are you on the latest version of OBS-Studio? Source snapping has been added in version 0.14 or 0.15 I think.

With source snapping the source wont move out of the screen anymore, and with the marked option activated you can easily center the source.
