Hey guys i have a serious problem with my OBS studio,

I started to stream 1 month ago. When i stream there is always a annoying and very loud clicking/cracking noise and i dont know why this happens. I got this problem since i started to stream. But it seems like this sound is caused by OBS, because when im on discord, teamspeak, skype etc. my friends never noticed an noise like this. It happens every hour. Sometimes this noise comes a few times in one hour.
I couldnt figure out when this noise happens. Seems like it happens randomly.

I found a video on youtube with exactly the same clicking on my stream. Its NOT my video but its 1:1 the same noise.

I already tried to update and reinstall my sounddriver. My headset and my PC are new, so there shouldnt be any problems with that. I tried to use OBS classic but if you ever started with OBS studio its very annoying and circuitous to switch to classic, so i would like to keep on using the studio version.

So, does anyone knows how to fix this problem?
I appreciate everyone who trys to help me!
(Sry for bad english, its not my native language)

My Motherboard (i just have the soundcard from my MB): Asus Z 170-P
The headset i use: HyperX Cloud

Does it happen when you are not streaming e.g. you hear it in your headphones?

No, it just happens onstream or in OBS recordings. I never hear that noise while streaming or recording on my headphone. And as i said, my friends dont hear that noise while being in discord, teamspeak or skype. Even if im streaming at the same time with OBS, they dont hear that noise in teamspeak etc...Its only on stream.
So it seems to appear with OBS. :/

I'm having the EXACT same problem, only it started happening recently. I have no audio input at all, drivers and firmwares are all updated - the only funky thing in my setup is I route all my audio through VoiceMeeter Banana since it's more powerful than OBS for mixing audio. The clicking only occurs when I'm streaming or recording - I never notice it at all on my end until I go back to review my stuff.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say OBS isn't playing nice with a Windows update again... If anyone has any other insight, I'd appreciate it.

In my case, no. Windows took it upon itself to switch to 48 Khz and OBS was still on 44.41 KHz. The next time I stream/record I'll see if that fixes it and report back.

Switching OBS to 48 Khz to match Windows seems to have fixed it for me. Thanks, never would've thought to check that myself.

My audio rates are both 48khz, i already changed it a few weeks ago. I could reduce the loudness of the clicking by reducing the microphone gain. Its both (Windows and OBS options) at 0 now. The clicking is not that loud anymore but its still there. So im still helpless.
