OBS studio can't detect desktop audio and can't record my voice (log file uploaded)

I struggled with this using a Canon video camera via hdmi direct to my laptop when we first started as well as our new set up with remote cameras ! In OBS under Audio Mixer click on the gear for your audio source ( Note first see if you can see the bars moving - green lights first mean audio is working in OBS ) and go to advanced audio properties . Find your audio source and make sure it is enabled as I set mine to monitor and output . Next go to the far right under settings/audio and again make sure your source / device is enabled . I use black magic design on remote cameras and it show up here as an audio source but you may only have windows audio as with my old set up ( canon via HDMI direct to laptop ) . Next check your Windows audio settings , assuming that you are using windows - On your windows screen go to far right below toolbar find the speaker icon and right click and go to troubleshooting . Run the troubleshooter and see if that helps as there are articles also in re to windows audio not working via google search . Good Luck !

Thanks for the suggestions! I have tried that, but it didn't work. One thing I realized is that the Audio Mixer record nothing as the bars are not moving.

Do you hear the sound from YouTube when OBS Studio is not opened? If so, please go to Settings, Audio: Global Audio Devices. At the Desktop Audio, is option Default selected? Can you change that to your speakers (or headphones)?

After months, I've finally solved the issue. The issue was caused by antivirus that blocks OBS studio from using speaker and mic. Thanks everyone for your kind suggestions!
