Question / Help OBS Studio Black Screen Game Capture Driving me Crazy!

I've been trying to record Serious Sam Fusion 2017 and it keeps giving me a god dang black screen! I tried everything. Turning off Game DVR on Windows 10, forcing it to scale, multi adapter compatibility, I still can't get it to work! Please help me. My log is attached to this. Please help. Thank you.

Games cannot be captured while they are not fullscreen. If you are alt+tabbed and expecting it to show up in OBS, that will never work. You need to go back into the game for it to be able to capture.

So I can't capture it in windowed? I thought I could with Display Capture. I'm not entirely sure if I understand what you're saying. I alt tabbed several times and it previewed the game for me when I looked at it, but now it doesn't. I tried what you said and didn't alt tab and just recorded it from the game without seeing a preview of it but it came out still a black screen. I don't get it?

I found a work around by using display capture but I don't know how long that's going to last. I would like to get back to using game capture as soon as possible.

Something is blocking game capture from working properly then. Make sure you don't have any overlays, shader mods, or anything similar to the following installed and running:

Conflicts with Game Capture: Other capture programs, Razer Synapse (disable heatmaps), graphics mods like ENBSeries and SweetFX, and any type of software or utility that displays an in-game overlay like EVGA Precision, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, TS3/Mumble overlays, Dolby Axon, Raptr, Overwolf, etc. If you use D3DGear it must be uninstalled completely.
