Question / Help OBS Studio 64bit no VLC Source option

I use 32bit OBS Studio. I wanted to make the transition back to 64bit after honestly not realizing i was using 32bit for a few weeks.

Since that time i have made a few scenes which utilize VLC sources. When i boot up 64bit its not there.

Another thing i noticed is my streaming pcs Capture card is also not seen there. Capture card is avermedia hd and typically uses the LGHD Stream Engine for video but in 64bit it will only show video from the Avermedia HD Capture c985 bus 4.

I thought 32 and 64 bit were supposed to have the same options.

Install the 64-bit version of VLC if you MUST use 64-bit obs studio.

There is very little reason to use 64-bit over 32-bit.

NVM just solved my own issue.

HAd to install VLC 64 bit. Sometimes i swear i have 2 different people that live in my brain.

1. Is a villain who wants to make my life horrible.
2. The other is a Hero genius who will always defeat the Villain.

As to the Stream Engine, it's only 32-bit (last time I checked). Avermedia needs to come out with a 64-bit version (again, if they haven't already) if you want to use it with OBS 64-bit.

Yea, kinda sucks but in a way its almost a blessing in disguise. Using the bus versus the stream engine ive noticed the delay between he two pcs is MUCH lower.

Weird.
