OBS STUDIO 29.0.0 works great, but won't shut down

I'm running LINUX MINT 21.1 VERA and OBS studio 29.0.0, and it's working better than ever, low CPU usage, etc. but when I exit I find it's still running in the background even hours later and I have to go into task manager and kill it. Anyone else having this issue?
