Not sure what is causing the drop-out(s). My first thought was, "there is problem with the bandwidth and CPU usage". However, my CPU usage was an average of 7-10%; Bandwidth at 400kbs, during the times that it ran. Is there a 'test' run setting that I am not aware of ? Previously, we used WC6 Pro and had no issues with the same encoder settings. However, there is a Big Difference in comparison between OBS and WC6 Pro, in the way the canvas and displays are set up...(This is another topic but, likely a related catalyst to the current issue). With WC6 Pro, the canvas display is best set to match your camera source, to reduce scaling and compression, which can dramatically effect the bandwidth/cpu usage. With OBS, you have to set up your canvas display to your monitors. Here are my settings with OBS: Camera Source Setting: 1080i; OS (WIN) Settings: Main Monitor Display: 1080. Extended Displays: 1280 x 720; OBS Settings for the Canvas and scaling display is set to: 1280x720; Had to find a happy medium, otherwise, if the setting was set to match the camera source at 480i (which I originally had set it to), the image would severely display out of scale on the display screens.
Attempts to fix the problem:
1. Uninstalled and reinstalled the program, including removing the settings.
2. Reduced encoder settings: Medium to Very Fast and Profile from High to Main
3. Unchecked simultaneous function: Start Recording when Streaming Starts
The output streaming and recording are set to scale down to: 480p at 400kbs, CBR
We have a broadcast scheduled very soon and we need this fixed ASAP, to LIVE stream and REC.
Thank you for your help in advance! :)
