Question / Help OBS Studio 20.0.1 (64bit, windows): Window Capture Not Detecting Windows

I've encountered this problem before, and I have never been able to resolve it in OBS Studio. However, I do not encounter this problem when I'm using Open Broadcaster Software v0.659b.

Today, I have decided to uninstall and reinstall OBS Studio to see if this will resolve the issue with it not detecting open windows when trying to do a Window Capture. Nonetheless, I am still unable to do Window Capture in OBS Studio (the version that I'm using is OBS Studio 20.0.1). So far, I have tested with the following applications:

• Snes9x v1.53
• Google Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100
• Solitaire

I have also tried using Game Capture with Snes9x v1.53 and Solitaire, but OBS Studio 20.0.1 did not detect them using that option as well.

While the current workaround would be to just use Open Broadcaster Software v0.659b, the problem is that it's no longer officially supported, and there is always the chance that Open Broadcaster Software v0.659b will no longer function in future versions of the Windows operating system (which is why I'm trying to get Window Capture to work as soon as I can.

If anyone has any suggestions, it would be gladly appreciated.

Actually, I was able to find an older thread related to the issue. The URL is below:

I ended up closing Kaspersky Internet Security, closing OBS Studio, and I was able to launch the applications in Window Capture that I was trying to launch.

I'm not sure why Kaspersky Internet Security causes this to happen, so I'll have to research that.
