Question / Help OBS Studio 18.01 unusable on 2nd monitor

Hi,

I have an iPad Pro connected to my iMac. I use the iPad as a 2nd screen (via Duet Display (tried others)). As soon as I drag OBS Studio over to the iPad, the CPU goes into the 20% range and my fps drops from a steady 30 to 1 or lower, each and every time. This makes OBS Studio completely unusable and I have to switch to another broadcasting software.

Please advise,

Neil

Can I please have some response from the dev team.

It doesn't matter what screen extender app I use on the Mac and iPad Pro, and it doesn't matter if it's hard wired or wifi. As soon as I drag OBS Studio over to the iPad, the FPS drops from a steady 30 to 0.25 and the CPU usage rockets from about 5 to 26%.

Thanks,

Neil

I am also having this problem :( being able to have duet on my ipad as a second screen and then keeping my main display free to capture would be dreamy.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015):
2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
16GB ram.

I wonder if it's something "under the hood" with OBS.
