Just installed OBS Studio 18.0, the software launched once and only once, right after I installed it, via my shortcut. After that first launch, it would not launch again unless I made one simple change...
THe shortcut on my desktop has the following set as its "Target" string...
Target: "Path to File" --disable-gpu --remote-debugging-port=8118
If I remove both of those flags, OBS launches fine with no issues (other than having lower performance browser sources and the inability for me to remote debug them). What makes matters worse is I cannot produce any log when attempting to launch with the flags set, as the app doesnt appear to even ATTEMPT to load. No entry appears, not even for a second, in the Task Manager.
Please let me know if there is another place to look for logs that could be of use to track down the issue. It could also be an issue with the Browser Source plugin itself, i am just unsure at this point
