Your system might have 16GB, but you're using the 32-bit version of OBS Studio, which can only use up to 2GB of RAM in your case. I've seen someone else here explain that GIFs are converted into a lossless format when rendered by OBS.

Does it work for you if you try to add it on its own to a fresh Scene Collection? If so, your Scenes/Sources are likely not leaving enough RAM available by the time you try to add that GIF.

Does it also crash in the same manner in 64-bit OBS Studio?

I will give that a shot tonight. Using 64 bit that is.
