Question / Help OBS stuck on Stopping recording....

I know what the issue is, it's that OBS takes less resources when you put it on certain presets (ultrafast,fast,etc.) But I want to know which preset is the right one so my game will be fast, and the recording will be fast as well.

Run OBS 64bit version instead of 32bit version

Don't record with CBR on x264

With a gtx960 I have to recommend using NVENC encoder. This will incease performance a lot. Use NVENC on VBR with a bitrate of around 60000 for 1080p60. Or if you want really high quality use CQP and a CQP of around 16-20.

If you really want to use x264 you can try CRF of around 20 and CPU preset on ultrafast. But i would not recommend that at all with your CPU.
