Hello I'm looking for any solution to this problem. I was wanting to experiment with video editing so for the past few weeks i have been recording call of duty gameplay on my PC to play around with but since updating to the newest version of OBS (currently 26.1.2) any time I try to record anything, OBS gives me "stopping recording" but never actually finishes the file. I have read that this could be me trying to record on higher settings than my computer is capable of however, I haven't had this issue at all in the past and I'm running fairly decent hardware such as ryzen 2600x and a RTX 2070 super. I even tried reducing my settings to hopefully fix the problem but didn't have any luck. I learned my lesson the first time recording onto a mov file and losing the footage so now I'm recording to mkv but if I close OBS without fully stopping the recording I can't even get all the video that I recorded in the mkv file.
OBS stuck on "stopping recording" the last few times of recording...
