OBS Stuck in projector mode - help!

Hi folks, I'm running latest version of OBS (26.0.2) on a Windows 10 Home (64) platform, Asus ROG Strix laptop with dual display.

In OBS, I right-clicked on the program window and chose to full-screen project the output. I'm now stuck, with what appears to be a projection of the program. I've managed to get out twice by doing hot-swapping of cameras and monitors, one of which (removal of camera) seemed to 'release' the program from the projection, I then hit F11, which I understand takes it out of projection mode, but when I've restarted, I find myself stuck again (twice so far).

I have a commericial live stream scheduled for tomorrow and I'm out of ideas. Anybody have a quick fix here?

While in the projector just press the Escape Key. Otherwise send a Screenshot of how it looks.
You should also always be able to bring up the Windows Task Bar if it's enabled on that Monitor. On there hover over the obs symbol and you should see another window (which is the projector) which you can then close from there.

Thanks for the response - I can hover over the OBS symbol on the taskbar, it brings up the open program but I can't interact with it. Interestingly, it also brings up a StreamFX update notification...which I'd noticed a few days ago. I can't close the program or what I think is the projector from there...

Oh i had this happen myself a few days ago, the streamFX update pop-up is blocking obs. Close obs with the task manager and then install the streamfx update from https://github.com/Xaymar/obs-StreamFX/releases/tag/0.9.2

I can crash out of the programme with CTRL-ALT-DEL and close it from Task Manager, but on restart, it does exactly teh same behaviour. I can execute scene changes via a streamdeck, so the programme is running, I just can't break out of the projecter it seems...

If you update StreamFX the update notification should no longer pop-up and you should be able to interact with obs again.
