Howdy, for the past week I've run into an issue with OBS and Discord that seemingly came up as a result of updating to OBS 31.0.1. For context, I attempted to stream to Twitch somewhere between 02/18/25 and 02/20/25 and a poor wireless connection for streaming. In frustration to resolve my connection issues I updated my OBS to 31.0.1 and launched the Auto Configuration Wizard to fix it. Neither of these worked but eventually I got my streams to be stable a day or 2 later, outside work was being done that affected my connection.
Fast forward to 02/24/25 and I attempt to stream with friends to Twitch. I start streaming and everyone in a shared discord call notes that my audio quality gets significantly worse. I check discord myself and see that I'm in constant flux on my connection and end stream which restores my audio quality. Since then I have been unable to stream using OBS and be in a discord voice channel at the same time
In the following week I've attempted multiple fixes in hopes of correcting the connection issues and nothing has worked. Fixes include:
- Updating all audio and audio device drivers
- Splitting Audio Sources in OBS to ease any potential burdens faced by both programs
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Discord
- Lowering bitrates in both video and audio
- Attempted to modified video encoder settings, audio encoder is AAC and I have no other options to change to
- Tried to use different audio input devices
It was recommended that I decrease the bandwidth being put on my computer, but I'm not sure what I can to reduce it further and other processes while streaming still work fine. At this point I am out of options to try and appreciate any advice on next steps, open to hearing if anyone else has faced these issues as well

OBS Log that tested the issue, unsure if anything can be read from it since I don't think it can watch discord: https://obsproject.com/logs/T7uzZrCDaOs1EvE3
