OBS stops recording

Hi, newcomer here to this wonderful package. Operating brilliantly for a very complex production! One simple question on recording. We are streaming live for three hours, which works fine. But if we choose to record a portion of that live stream, it does not record a continuous file. OBS stops and re-starts recording a new file every time there is a scene change. We want it to continue until ‘stop recording‘ is pressed. I’m guessing this is possible!
