Bug Report Obs' start recording button doesn't work

I don't know why. I just downloaded OBS so I don't know what to do. When I use the display capture, it shows a black screen, but when I use the game capture, it captures the game. Even though it captures my game, when I press "Start Recording", it doesn't do anything. It doesn't record the video.

try using an encoder that isn't nvenc.

Try setting a hotkey to start recording. might fix your problem and makes it much easier to record.

The 940MX has inconsistencies with NVENC support.

What encoder do you recommend except for NVENC? And what settings to go with it?

Try x264 first. It will be higher quality but slower. If it is too slow, use Quick Sync (the quality will suffer a bit).
