Question / Help OBS Sound Issues

So I've been dabbling with youtube videos on and off. I've settled on toy reviews but did a couple art videos before that. There's a distinct difference in the audio but I'm using a nearly identical setup. Room layout is basically the same. The mic is one to two feet away. obs settings are identical. Could it be that I'm using a fifteen foot usb cable now that I'm in a different room? Any helps is appreciated. Below are sample videos.

SOLVED: It was simply the distance the mic was setting from me. A mere three feet changed the quality completely.

For most microphones that aren't shotguns, three feet is an absolutely huge distance. Plenty of microphones will stop registering almost completely if you're off axis but only inches away.
