This has been an issue through various IOS updates. OBS stays open for less than one second. Have tried re-installing OBS to no effect as well. I am a musician and not particularly tech advanced.

I'm running into the exact same issues. Just downloaded OBS on my new MBP (m1 chip) and thought it was that, because it worked fine yesterday on my non-m1 iMac but it crashes on start up. Have tried redownloading and reinstalling it as well.

Having same issue on MacBook Pro. App crashes as soon as I open it. Started happening right after upgrade. Downgraded to last known working version and it now crashes on previous working version.

Found on another thread... my issue was caused by Loupedeck plugin.... trashed it and OBS works fine.
HA!
I was losing my MIND. Mac, Library, Application Support, obs studio, plugins, and trash the Loupedeck plugin that they sneak in there. How infuriating is that? How hard is it to make sure that your garbage plugin doesn't crash the actual program?
Thanks LogTech for the post.

Hi Markium! Super glad you were able to resolve your issue, but mine still remains. I can't actually find the Loupedeck plugin on my computer hiding anywhere, so not sure that is what is causing my issue unfortunately.

Hoping someone here might find this and be able to point me in a direction to get back up and running soon.

Cheers to you and your success though!

Here is another crash log in case anyone can decipher the issue. On latest and greatest everything.

Hi just saw this. My post with the location seems to have been erased. User, Library, Application Support, obs-studio, plugins, Loupedeck, move that to trash. Loupedeck seems to still work fine without it. BTW, in your Loupedeck options for OBS can you trigger source filters?
