OBS shutdown error/safe mode notification

hello,

I have been at this for literally days. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix the shutdown error. I recently made the decision to start making videos again after a year off. As I was trying to get everything set up, I came to the conclusion that most of my softwares needed updated. My macOS was years behind and OBS had some updates.

After updating both (OBS 31, macOS Sequoia 15.1.1), I cannot escape from the startup prompt "OBS did not shut down properly, run in safe mode or run normally?". I usually choose run normally, as I want access to all it's capabilities. However, if I choose run normally, it does not capture my screen and I am not able to click any options buttons. Almost as if the app is frozen. I found a partial work around for this via this forum by typing a prompt into Terminal that opens OBS properly, however, I still cannot get a screen capture and I have to keep Terminal open for OBS to stay open.

This problem has been driving me crazy. I am not tech savvy at all, but I have tried countless solutions to troubleshoot and nothing has worked. If you have any deep knowledge on this matter, please help.
