OBS settings for a youtube video

i just recorded my first video without any issues. when i watched it back on my laptop the audio commentary was playing with the video. i uploaded the video to youtube but when i watch on youtube the audio is missing. is this a settings issue on OBS i need to change so future videos don't lose the audio when uploaded to youtube?

What recording format did you use? If you are recording audio to separate tracks, YT is probably only picking up track #1. Are you using video editing software before uploading to YT, or just going straight from OBS to YT?
