OBS self-hisses every other second...

Trying to figure out what to do next. Recently upgraded to High Sierra from El Capitan. Thinking I should wipe the
macmini's HD (mid 2010), and start over. Wondering why this occurs when the sources section says that no
source has been chosen. The green spikes occur without me doing anything. Included here are log file, screen
shot of adv. audio prop., and a screen movie of OBS on my system. Maybe this computer is too old, despite all the upgrades.

Haven't wiped the hard drive yet, but I did uninstall OBS26 and installed OBS27. The issue went away, no self hissing
spiking the dB meter at this point. Going to read more and try some things to see if the echo issue can resolve as well.
Thing is, you gotta know what the audio signal path is here. No issues thus far with the camera settings.
