Why is it that after the update since 4-6months ago, every single time i try to stream/record with obs, it seems to simply kill every single driver on my computer, headset, mouse, tablet, mic, phone(which i share my internet trough to pc, basically whatever uses drivers, and results in it killing my usb ports at the end, after which i need to restart my pc to get everything working again, tried a fresh install and updating but in vain...Enyone else with similiar problems or eny idea for fixes, or do i just change my streaming software to something else

You're literally the ONLY person with this problem in over 9 months. It's your own system, not OBS.

well it did work for a year before i updated it one last time which seemed to be the one that seemed to have caused all this, what was the solution for the other guy who had the same problem?

I'm pretty sure it ended up being either outright hardware failure or an antivirus that was excessively paranoid.

sooo, after switching my gpu to gtx 960 bcs of supporting problems for the 7970, im still having this problem, first try, 5mins of recording and killed my top 2 usb ports, second try: lowered res from 720p to 520p and put cpu usage to super fast, and again, disable my second row of usb ports after 8mins or so, i literally havent had eny problems with this system enywhere else than on obs, is my system just not supported enymore or wat? ps.cpu was fx6300, not 6350

Hardware issues like USB ports failing can't be caused by software that runs in user-mode like OBS. These point to much more serious issues such as driver or motherboard issues, possibly power supply or other low level components. The reason this issue only occurs when you use OBS is because OBS places high demands on components of your system that many other applications do not.

Power supply changed last fall, ssd changed month ago to samsung 850 evo, valley benchmark has been running fine for 14H, so has furmark and prime, all i can really think is cpu causing it, so i went back to stock settings on bios to see if enything changed....Nope, also, im intrested in the fact that is there a possibility for a bug in streaming with mobile connection shared via usb port to place somekind of heavy load on it?, oh and i had hwmonitor running on the backround to see whats happening, cpu utilisation=45%, obs solely= 8%, gpu utilisation= 65%. Im baffled bcs i cant find a problem, i previously tought it was the bad gpu support or something but now im just clueless.
