Installed new computer and hooked up camera from old computer to new computer and its not working. I tried to run as administrator and didnt help. I downloaded the Game capture HD software. Im using a Game Capture HD with a Canon Vixia HF R800. We use this for Livestream during church service,

Use Video Capture Source and select the camera. Usually, cameras have an HDMI port on them that you need a HDMI to connect to a piece of hardware (such as a HDMI Video Capture Card) that switches HDMI to USB
